EDMS ‘ll boost O-ORBDA’s operations, productivity – Ashiru

The MD/CEO, Ogun-Oshun River Basin Development Authority (O-ORBDA) Engr. Adedeji Ashiru FNSE FNIMechE FNIWE has urged the staff of the Authority to be more productive and efficient in their day to day operations.

This was made known during the presentation of certificates to the staff who partook in the just concluded training programme on Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) at the Authority’s headquarters in Abeokuta, Ogun State yesterday.

In his speech, Ashiru said, “Today marks a significant milestone in our journey toward digital transformation and enhanced service delivery. I am honoured to introduce EDMS and present certificates to staff members who have successfully completed the EDMS training program. “

While speaking, he highlighted the importance of the training, which includes revolutionising how documents are created, stored and managed, streamlining operations, and boosting productivity. This innovative platform, he noted, enhances document security and integrity, automates workflows and approvals, improves collaboration and version control, supports data-driven decision-making, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, among others.

Ashiru said, “To ensure seamless EDMS integration, we invested in comprehensive training, and staff members have demonstrated remarkable dedication and adaptability. Your commitment to mastering this system is commendable.

Ashiru congratulated training graduates on their perseverance and enthusiasm. “These certificates symbolize your readiness to leverage technology for efficient service delivery and charged them to leverage EDMS to optimize workflows and productivity, continuously update their skills to match emerging technologies, collaborate to maximize EDMS benefits, and provide feedback for system enhancements.

In conclusion, he said, “Together, let’s harness technology to propel sustainable development and excellence in river basin management,”

Earlier on, the facilitator of the programme, MD/CEO, DEVIT Limited, Babatunde Fadare, commended all the participants for their dedication and commitment during the training session. He told them to adhere to document handling protocols, follow security and access guidelines, use metadata for proper document classification, and provide regular feedback for system improvements, amongst others.
