Top actress and producer Queen Blessing Ebigieson is working round the clock to retain her position as the National President of the Association of Movie Producers,AMP, as the members file out next Saturday, to elect their new leaders.

Ebigieson, a former vice-president of AMP, was sworn-in as the substantive President of the association following the death of Ms Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, earlier in 2023, in accordance with the constitution of association, which stipulates that the vice-president shall complete the tenure of the president in the event of the president’s permanent relocation from Lagos, impeachment or death. She’s now vying for the position to complete the good work she has started for the association.

Also, actress Shan George is vying for the position of vice-president. The general election is slated for Saturday, September 28, in a yet to be disclosed state. Announcing the development on Instagram, Shan George wrote, “I’m running as Vice-president behind my awesome president, Queen Blessing Ebigieson.”

On her part, Ebigieson said “I’m excited to announce that I’m running for the position of National President of Association of Movie Producers, AMP. If you’re a member, I’d be honored to have your support. Please mark your calendars for September 28th, as that’s the day to come out and cast your vote. Let’s continue to work together to take our association to new heights.”
