Following his return to Nigeria in 2009, he assumed the leadership role of Managing Director at GKO Group, where he was responsible for overseeing the operations and management of various hotels within the group’s portfolio, including the renowned Signatious Hotel in Warri, Delta State. He would subsequently embark on a new entrepreneurial venture, founding Blue Delta Integrated Services Limited, a cutting-edge advertising agency. This marked a significant milestone in his journey as a business leader, as he leveraged his expertise and innovative thinking to establish a premier advertising outfit.

With Blue Delta, Chief Gbagi aimed to revolutionize the marketing landscape in Nigeria, providing clients with tailored solutions and exceptional service delivery. Not done yet, Chief Emuoboh Gbagi’s passion for politics eventually took center stage, prompting him to throw his hat into the political arena. He formally joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and like a gold fish with no hiding place, swiftly became an active participant in the political process.

His dedication and leadership qualities were soon recognized, leading to his appointment as a PDP delegate representing Jeremi Ward 2 in Ughelli South Local Government Area, a position he held in both 2014 and 2018. Undeterred by the challenges of politics, he took a bold step in 2018 by contesting the Ughelli South constituency seat in the Delta State House of Assembly primaries. He has accumulated a wealth of experience in governance, having held various strategic positions in the Delta State government. Notably, for three years (2015 to 2018), he served as Executive Assistant to the Governor on Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), where he played a crucial role in shaping policies and programs that impacted the lives of citizens in the oil-producing regions.

Additionally, from October 2018 to May 2019, he was appointed Special Adviser to the Governor on DESOPADEC, further solidifying his expertise in this critical area.

In addition to his other roles, he served two terms as Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Development, a position that enabled him to channel his enthusiasm for youth empowerment and create pathways for their advancement. He also held the office of Secretary, College of Special Advisers, from July 2021 to May 2023, coinciding with the conclusion of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s tenure, further solidifying his commitment to public service and youth development.
