ONITSHA – Immediate past Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Charles Soludo was weekend endorsed by a cross section of people from Anambra state, numbering over 8,000 for the 2010 governorship election fixed for February 6.

The crowd which gathered at the Emaeus House in Awka, for a meeting, comprising stakeholders in the state, was convened by the Soludo Campaign Organisation headed by former Speaker of the House of Representative, Chief Agunwa Anaekwe.

Speaker after speaker said they were happy that a man of integrity and honour, who saved the nation’s economy had come home to not only save his people but the state’s economy and declared their support for him come 2010.

Addressing the crowd, the Director- General of the Soludo Campaign Organisation, Anaekwe said the meeting was convened to tell Anambra people where they were going in the 2010 gubernatorial election.

He described as unfortunate, a situation where the PDP has 30 members in the House of Assembly with an APGA Governor ruling the state, saying that the PDP must in 2010 take back what belonged to it.

Aneakwe advised the people of the state to beware of spoilers, whose stock in trade are to cause confusion in the state, saying that many of the aspirants, who obtained the governorship forms were sponsored by some disgruntled politicians, who never wished Anambra state well.
