LG boss warns against dangers of cultism

CALABAR – Chairman of Yala local government area of Cross River State, Mr. Fidel Egoro, has called on all well meaning members of the society to fight cultism wherever it reared its head.

He made the declaration in Okpoma, the Council headquarters, weekend, during a workshop on cultism and militancy organised by the State Security Adviser, Mr. Bassey Okim.

The workshop, which is a fall out of the state governor, Senator Liyel Imoke’s effots to rid the state of cultism, is meant to enlighten the people of Yala on the dangers of secret cult activities.

According to Barrister Egoro, “ as Chairman of Yala, I may not be doing any good if I shy away from the truth.”
