It was more of taking after one’s father last Saturday when one of Africa’s most acclaimed artists and former Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Ondo State, Mr Tola Wewe, watched his last son, Adeleye Wewe make his dramatic entry into the nation’s music scene.
The 19 year-old rapper, better known as Lewes G, debuted with “Winner”his first single, in a manner that reverberated his father’s artistic cannons.
Hailing from a family where music is celebrated, Lewes G’s emergence in the nation’s music scene is something of a welcome development to his generation.
This Afro hip hop star, who is also preparing to study Fine Art at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, like his father , is signed under Right Spot Entertainment.
Speaking the event which held at a hangout in Ikoyi, Lagos, Lewes G, said his dream is take his music to the next level. The single has two tracks, the hit track and “Run Things”
According to his father, “I don’t interfere with my children choice of career. They are free to follow their minds. I don’t decide for them what they want in life. Adeleye has my full support and I have been directing him on the right path to follow. That is what I can do as a father to him.” The video was directed by K.Lala films.
