Creativity is a deep expression of talent and not necessarily a representation of one’s character, said Ebenezer Boakye-Manu popularly known as DEGUY GH.
DEGUY GH is one of the funniest content creators on social media.
He stated this in a statement made available to Vanguard on Monday. He expressed how difficult is for one to become a content creator, noting that he fought for his fame in the entertainment industry.
Ebenezer Boakye-Manu was born in Accra, Greater Accra, Ghana on 30th March 1995. The youngest of 3 boys and the last born among his siblings, his parents were Samuel Kwaku Abredu Manu, a Prison Officer and Rose Opong, a Pastor.

His two brothers are Frank Manu and Martin Manu, his four sisters are Patricia Manu, Mavis Manu, Eunice Manu and Charlotte Manu.
Ebenezer Boakye-Manu was brought up Christian, and was educated at Police Deport (a preparatory, primary and junior high school), and then Anum Presbyterian senior high & did his bachelor Degree and HND at University of Ghana.
He realised that a part of him was capable of making people laugh, regardless of his reserved nature.
DEGUY GH got familiar with TikTok in 2020, the year COVID-19 briefly changed how humanity should relate. After studying a few other comedians like Sabinus, Mr. Bean, and Erkuahofficial, he began to create content. Despite facing low engagements initially, he came up with a different approach that captivated his fans.
Overcoming cyberbullying, he has now won over critics with his unrivalled content and is reaping the rewards of his hard work.
Reflecting on his journey as a content creator, DEGUY GH said, “Cyberbullying was my first challenge, which I overcame with time. In my journey of content creation, I have achieved a lot in terms of financial aspects, popularity, and fame. There are many challenges, such as hardly having free time because millions of people are waiting for new content. But the good part is that it paves the way for more fame and money.”
His parent were unaware of his foray into entertainment until they saw him on television
“I feel proud of myself for coming this far because content creation is not easy, but I fought for it and for the fame. I still haven’t reached my goal, but I’m super proud of my achievements,” he revealed.
DEGUY GH continued, “The idea of dressing as a lady is because ladies have funny characters. Dressing as a lady to portray those characters was the aim, and I knew I could do it perfectly.
DEGUY GH’s journey is a testament to his determination and creativity, overcoming shyness and cyberbullying to become a social media sensation. His unique comedic style and dedication have won him fans worldwide, and his future in content creation looks bright.
