Nollywood actress Uche Nnanna has warned netizens against following influencers, who would not make any meaningful impact on their lives on social media.
Nnanna handed down the warning, while in a chat with our reporter during the week. She also revealed why she played a trick on her husband, Richard Maduka, when they marked their 10th wedding anniversary recently.
She recalled that her husband first played the old tricks on her, when he deceived her into believing that he wouldn’t be flying into the country to celebrate Christmas with them in 2023, only for him to show up at the eleventh hour to her surprise. However, paying her hubby in his own coin, the light-complexioned actress planned their ‘biggest anniversary shocker’ with her US-based brother, Omalicha.
Maduka had travelled to the United States on a business trip, but unknown to him that his wife was up to something. While resting in his hotel room, Uche strolled into the room unannounced like a ghost. And Maduka almost lost his breath as he wasn’t expecting his wife in the United States. Interestingly, it was the drama that set the stage for their 10th wedding anniversary which really paid off at last, as the couple had the best wedding anniversary in the US.
Warning netizens against following wrong influencers on social media, Nnanna described social media as a place of the good, the bad and the ugly. According to her, “it depends on the person you want to follow on social media. As a business woman, artist and a mother, I follow people who will motivate me in every aspect of my life. This is because when you follow the cloud chasers you will either derail or succeed. I’m advising everyone to be mindful of the person you are following on social media as it will either impact your life or destroy it. The people you follow on social media will tell you what your life will turn out to be”.
