For most of the month of May, Nollywood star Yul Edochie spent his space on X, praising president Bola Tinubu and pledging his unwavering support for him.

You’d easily spot posts like the one made on 22 May 2024 on his X handle. “Asiwaju boy. 100%. No leave, no transfer. We pin.

His Excellency @officialABAT will fix it for sure. Then below is his photograph where he flaunts his new outfit with a photo of President Tinubu and the accompanying words, “Relax , Jagaban will fix Nigeria.”

He turned around days later and posted, “It’s a difficult time for many people. Any form of help you can render to anyone, don’t hesitate. Let’s continue to spread love. The world needs plenty of love and happiness, none of us will be here forever.”

I’m glad Yul knows that. Encouraging people to help each other and at the same time, showing off maximum support for the government looks to Netizens like he is gloating. He has freedom of expression, you know, and has the right to use it the way he likes.

But then, netizens like Cici @Shez_Weird are not happy with him. They believe the best way to get at Yul was to place a curse on him. That’s to the extreme actually. Let’s look at Cici @Shez_Weird’s post. “Yul Edochie, your life don kuku spoil before, it shall never be well with you. Water will be against you, sun will be against you, moon will be against you, stars will be against you, earth will be against you, every good thing God created will be against you. As the country is falling apart that’s how every good thing in your life will fall apart.” Don’t you think that’s harsh?

That post attracted a lot of reactions such that the commentators began fighting each other. Again, let’s take a look.

Replying to Cici @Shez_Weird, Doll with the balls, @uju world wrote, “That one life don spoil patapata before.”

Black_spear_official replied, “All the evils and stagnation of life shall befall him. So shall it be and more. Amen.” No need to tell you how many Amen he got.
