The Chairman, Igbo-Eze North Traditional Rulers Council, HRH, Igwe Cyril Ayogu, has commended Governor Peter Mbah, of Enugu State for his laudable infrastructure and education programmes in the state within his one year in office.

The royal father said that Governor Mbah, has through his aggressive infrastructure upgrade constructed vital roads at  Odudukoko, Trans Ekulu, Premier Layout and College Roads at Abakpa and rehabilitated and constructed vital roads in Enugu metropolis.

Igwe Ayogu, who is also the traditional ruler of Umuopu Ancient Kingdom in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, further said that the ongoing 40 kilometer Owo-Ubahu-Amankanu-Neke-Ikem dual carriage way would open up and create new Enugu city within the North-Central region of the state.

He equally commended the governor for provision and reticulation of water in the state, adding that it has helped to address acute shortage which hitherto hampered healthy living conditions of the residents of the state.

On education, he stated that the construction of smart schools in the 260 political wards in the state would hasten the acquisition of vital digital skills such as Artificial Intelligence, robotics, Internet of Things among others which would equip the pupils in the state to key into the fourth industrial revolution and to further contribute meaningfully in sustainable economic development of the state.

The royal father while thanking Governor Mbah, for appointing him the chairman of the Traditional Rulers Council in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, equally appreciated the state  Commissioner for Local Government, Rural Development and Chieftaincy Matters, Deacon Okey Ogbodo, for his contributions in the maintenance of traditional institutions in the state.
