Foremost school management solution provider in Ogun State, EduTAMS iHUB has expressed its readiness to partner the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) to provide reliable and valid data, for its various interventions in the nation education sector.

Founder and CEO of EduTAMS, Dr. Ademola Adenubi, who disclosed this at a media chat and facility tour of the newly launched Innovation Hub, in Ijebu-Ode, stated that the strategic partnership aims to enhance the digital transformation of education in Nigeria.

According to him, EduTAMS iHub is an innovation centre that connects young people to create and develop ideas towards providing technological based solutions to challenges in the Nigeria education system.

Adenubi emphasized the crucial role of innovative solutions in driving meaningful change in education management and learning experiences.

He said, “already, we are looking at how to partner with UBEC. The commission needs access to reliable and valid data to be able to moderate interventions in the education space.

“Our solution is already built. The EduTAMS essential is built to work for government at national level with every State coming as a service and every local government coming under every state. So, at national level, you can have access to a global data on education at the state and local level.

“It is something that we are eager about and we are doing this as a call to the nation, especially the UBEC and also the Ministry of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy to work with us in providing this local innovative solution that addresses our local peculiarities for a digitizing education system.

“This is not just about technology. It is a very cost effective solution that also understand the adaptability into our own peculiar reality, that is something that we are doing differently and that is something that we expect and we call on all our state governments in the country, to work with the EduTAMS and get a more cost effective local, costume, adaptable, scalable solution that can drive innovation in education space”.

Dr. Adenubi disclosed that the strategic partnership has over 2,000 public and 1,000 private basic schools in Ogun State already benefiting from EduTAMS’ innovative platform.

He added that the digitalization of education management has recorded significant progress, impacting over 1.5 million learners in State.

While announcing a N25 million grant to tech startups interested in building new innovative solutions in the education sector, he explained that the grant would help in creating more innovative solutions to drive the digital transformation in education.

Adenubi lamented that Nigeria still ranks below in the league of countries who have digitalised their education system with just 10 percent of Nigerian public and private schools using technology to drive education services and delivery.

He therefore stressed the need for Nigeria to fully digitalise its education system.

“What we are trying to do is that we know there is need for more innovative solutions to drive the digital transformation in education and part of our core value is to collaborate with other founders and startups to deliver all round value to the education system.

He explained that aside the grant, the EduTAMS iHub incubation center would be made available to at least five startups to enable them work efficiently and comfortably.

“We would be working with the Ogun Tech Community (OTC) in identifying and selecting new startup founders we are looking not less than five and i think the appropriate structure for the selection process will happen and the appropriate framework to identify and select will also happen.

In his remark President of Ogun Tech Community, Durosinmi Adekunle lauded the innovation and assured EduTAMS of it full support.
