Two students of the Federal University Wukari, who were abducted two weeks ago, have been freed from captivity.

The Head, Information and Protocol Unit of the institution, Mrs. Ashu Agbu, confirmed the release of the kidnapped students in a WhatsApp message to our reporter on Friday morning. 

She stated that the students, who had spent days in the hands of their abductors, were finally released on Thursday night.

She, however, did not provide details regarding the circumstances of their release.

It would be recalled that the abductors had demanded a ransom after the abduction of the two students outside the school campus on April 3.
