The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator George Akume has urged Muslim faithfuls to continually uphold the lessons of peace, forgiveness, love and kindness which the month of Ramadan symbolises.
The SGF in a message by his Special Adviser Public Affairs, Terrence Kuanum, to Muslims in Nigeria on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and celebration of Eid-El-Fitr, congratulated them on the successful completion of their fast.
He called for sustained prayers for the country, President Bola Tinubu and all leaders across the country.
Part of the statement read, “the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator George Akume congratulates Muslim faithful in the country for the successful completion of their fast in the Holy Month of Ramadan.
“Sen. Akume admonishes Muslim Ummah to uphold the lessons of peace, forgiveness, love and kindness which are symbolic to the month of Ramadan and also pray for the peace and development of our country.
“The SGF seeks prayers for our President, our nation, and leaders across the country, and also calls on Muslims to always remember to put the country at the centre on their prayers.
“He salutes their desire to undertake their annual spiritual exercise and prays to Allah to give them the strength to always imbibe the teachings of Ramadan and equally spread them to other facets of society.
Senator Akume wishes all Muslims a happy Eid-El-Fitr celebration.”
