AS the 21 days mourning period of the late Olubadan, Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun Alli Okunmade 11 expires today, the next in hierarchy to the Olubadan stool, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, is expected to meet the kingmakers for his nomination as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

According to information gathered, the Olubadan designate who has not been seen in public since Oba Balogun joined his ancestors on March 15 2024, will appear before the kingmakers today.

A source close to the Olubadan designate said, “I can authoritatively tell you that he will be in attendance at the meeting today.

“As of now, he is in his Alalubosa residence in Ibadan in preparation for the meeting. You know we told you he was on medical trip and now he’s back.”

“His appearance before the kingmakers today will put paid to all insinuations about his health.”

But, another source told Vanguard that the kingmakers are yet to receive any official notice from Olubadan designate.

“When he comes we shall all see him. That’s what we are praying for. We want a new Olubadan.”
