Speaking about the new song, Big Hookz states, “My fans should expect a great body of work from the sound, recording and a great production overall, as I’m very particular with my sound and I invested much time on the production quality in order to stand out.

“The uniqueness of the track is the sound and vocal delivery, which came from me just in competition with myself, that’s ‘me’ versus ‘me’, finding ways to evolve highly and challenging myself to reaching a certain height and level with my goal and not competing with any one and just dominating my sector.

The song also features a great artist from Cameroon called MKA Ghost based in Houston, Texas and the producer of the song is from Nigeria called “Executive Scott”, he works with Marvin Records.

Big Hookz has a unique track record with his style of music and delivery. His multilingual capability is an added advantage that gives him an edge, with extra flavour and dimension. In this regard, he appears to be in a world of his own, carefully weaving his craft to the delight of all that comes in contact with his artistry.

“I could speak 3-4 different languages and can implement those skills and strength in my music. With this versatility, I’m able to switch up my vocals lyrically on any beat/Instrumental, and I’m capable of writing lyrics and deliver in any genre of music. Also, I’m very good in creating catchy hook line/chorus of a song/record, which is the main part that leads a song, is the hook line,” he says.

According to him, for most of his instrumental’s production, he places emphasis heavily on the use of certain percussions like the bass drums, snare drums, shakers, piano etc.

” That is to produce some distinguished sounds in concert with my vision and inspirations, which resonates highly with my African ancestry,” he adds.

Big Hookz is a lover of Afrobeats as he has collaborated with some top Nigerian artists in the past. In fact he was in Nigeria in 2021 and 2022 where he performed alongside Faze, Qdot, Iyanya and many other Nigerian artists at a concert initiated by ClassiQDjFaze from StarFM.

“I have a song featured with local Nigerian artists, with some of my singles rotated on some FM stations and TV channels like HipTv, MTVBase and others,” he says.

The highpoints of Big Hookz ‘s career were in 2021 and 2019 when his album “Visionary/No Days Off” gained over 3 million plus stream & downloads in first week of release in August 2021 and this album consisted of some singles like “Right With You” feat. platinum RnB single & producer “Remo The Hitmaker” that gained certified Platinum in 2021.

Also, his other single song “Break You down” gained more momentum as it became number one (#1) on the European (Belgium, Turkey & UK) Itunes Charts in December 2019, with over 7000 plus influential engagement from DJs, clubs, radio stations across the world and it headed to the US top 100 billboard chart.

In 2019, he dropped a compilation/mixtape of 16 songs called “ BMS Vol.1” and also a full length album called “NS4L – Never Settle For Less” in 2019.

Big Hookz has covered much ground musically and has taken a giant step forward as a author. As an Independent artist, it is a feat not to be looked at lightly as he plans to write more books to educate fellow independent artists.

“It’s not one-off, I’m hoping to bring out other books, not just about music, but something else impactful and enhancement to people’s life. I’m still thinking about the next one. The book, “From The Music To The Money”, which can be found on Amazon and Kindle, is about me sharing my experiences as an artist, manager and entrepreneur being in the music industry and giving industry tips for every aspiring artist.

“The inspiration came from me also managing other artists and I discovered the lack of experience and lack of knowledge from most of these artists, in terms of understanding themselves as an artist, the different aspect of building and developing themselves as an artist and also understanding the music business overall” he explains.
