No rift in Uduaghan’s govt, says SSG

By Emma Amaize
WARRI—SECRETARY to Delta State Government, Mr Ovuozuorie Macaulay, has denied allegations, that there is rift in the government of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan because of his (Macaulay) frosty relationship with some commissioners in the state.

Speaking with newsmen, Macaulay said there was no crack in Uduaghan’s cabinet.

He said: “As far as I am concerned,  I don’t have sour or frosty relationship with anybody but if anybody  feels he is not satisfied with the way I am doing my job, well, too bad.

“If anybody said I had offended him, it is just because of the way I am doing my job and nothing more, but as far as I am serving a master and that master has not complained, then you must do the things the way I want them done.

If the master is not satisfied, he will call me and tell me to start jumping the rules, which I know the man, Uduaghan, will not do. He is a man that is very meticulous. Uduaghan is one governor who reads every line of the file you send to him.

“My style may not be other people’s style, people may not like me because of the way I go about issues.”
