Asaba- FOLLOWING perpetration of violence occasioned by cult activities in Ogbagu Ogume community in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State, the traditional leadership of the area has restricted all gatherings, religious or social from going beyond 6pm, henceforth.
Divisional Police Officer in charge of Kwale police divisional headquarters, Mr. Emmanuel Aina, has called on Ogbgu Ogume indigenes to be law-abiding and abide by the new security arrangement to help crack down on criminal activities.
Speaking at the palace of the Okpala Uku of Ogbagu Ogume, HRM Okpala Odalonu, Aina warned that since it was the collective decision of the community for their general interest, urged all sons and daughters of the community not to extend any religious or social gatherings beyond 6pm.
Earlier, chairman of the Ogbagu Ogume Community Development Committee, CDC, Mr. Nelson Enumah, reminded the police team led by Aina, that: “The community Bye-law and norms stipulate that religious and social gatherings are to terminate by 6pm.”
Enumah explained that the community made the Bye-law after some individuals exploited opportunities of such gatherings in the cover of darkness to commit crime.
