Chief Strategy, Transformation and Reputation Officer at QNET, Trevor Kuna, is a typical “in- your- face” customer relations strategist business ecosystems in the world are craving to have.
His ideology for business transformation is one even his peers are updating their own knowledge base with. _No wonder he has gone round almost all the juicy and very serious sectors.
Kuna has worked with_ Government of Manitoba as Multimedia Specialist from 2001 to 2003; Roger’s Radio Group, as Promotions and Online Marketing Coordinator from 2005 to 2007.
He joined QNET, a multi layer Direct selling organization, as chief executive officer, in Malaysia from 2017 to 2019 and has risen since then to become the Chief _transformation and reputation officer.
It, perhaps explains why he was chosen to oversee the V-Africa, a strategic event_ QNET organized in Abuja, to ensure Nigeria and African partners embrace advanced methods of direct selling business.
Hi-Tech engages Kuna, who bares his mind on the hidden potential Nigeria has to build organizations with unique foresight, even as some, who are reading the country just on the surface are closing shops.
Kuna says his task is to come up with strategies that will produce economic opportunities not only for the people of Nigeria but for all the continent of Africa for the next 25 years.
What V-Africa represents
V-Africa, is a regional version of a flagship event, similar to the well-known V-Malaysia. It is a key convention organized by QNET specifically for its network in Africa. It serves as a vibrant platform for QNET’s independent representatives across the continent to engage in networking, receive training, and celebrate their achievements.
We have around 10 to 15 countries that attend this event for the next four days to learn about how to conduct QNET business professionally and also learn how to find motivation because the business is not easy.
Brand commitment to Nigeria
V-Africa is a platform for us to communicate our brand values and our commitment to stay in the business for many years to come. For us, V-Africa represents a significant opportunity for QNET to build brand awareness and credibility in the Nigerian market. By hosting this premier event in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, we demonstrate our commitment to the country and its people.
Through engaging sessions, interactive workshops, and media outreach, we showcase the value we bring to the market and the unique opportunities we offer entrepreneurs and consumers. By connecting with local stakeholders and addressing their specific needs and concerns, V-Africa enables us to build trust, loyalty, and long-term relationships that are essential for sustainable business in Africa.
Direct Selling Disinformation Centre
The whole essence of launching a disinformation centre is to reduce people in anonymous channels and to reach out and alert us when they hear about what the small bad actors are doing to destroy the industry itself.

Our responsibility is to uphold the principles of direct selling, to make sure that we contribute to the positive reputations of the industry. The Disinformation centre is one of many initiatives that we are taking so that we open up many channels as possible, so as to be alerted when somebody is doing something that is not right, whether in Nigeria or anywhere in the worlds. So, this help us to be proactive.
Nigeria an important market
If you look at the partners we have, the incredible partners in TransBlue, in Nigeria and Senegal, where we have aftercare service, and we have logistic centre here. Clearly, Nigeria is the future of direct selling.
Clearly, in the entire region there is tremendous amount of potentials, because the facts that people have many starting opportunities. In Nigeria there are lots of opportunities but with QNET, you get a solution, apart from having the products, you also have the training. You have events like V-Africa, customer support, everything you need to do your business, Nigeria is a fantastic hub in this region.
Stocking system will solve Access to product problems
I know that people who love our products in this region are struggling to see them. This has to do with distribution challenge and can easily be solved by our stocking system because it is not everybody that lives in Abuja and Lagos. I think our stocking system to key markets and key cities in Nigeria will definitely open up the distribution issue and solve the accessibility challenge.
QNET is confident, Nigeria will bounce back
The heart of every business is perseverance and persistence. No matter what challenges the country is facing now, we believe it’s not permanent. We have faith in this economy, to sustain our business.
Besides, no economic situation can affect our business. That is why, even when some are closing shops here, we are strongly confident. Direct selling is the only industry that will thrive when other industries are facing much suffering.
Studies have shown that direct selling becomes more popular whenever there is recession because people are looking for additional streams of income. Direct selling is not a job opportunity but an opportunity that allows you to create small businesses, without establishing your own website or designing your own products.
In direct selling, you get everything you need to start small business with, very low capital; and that is why it flourishes despite economic downturn.
