A leadership expert, Mr Kriz David, has urged world leaders to jettison the idea that leadership means influence, stressing that it is a traditional notion resulting in their ineffectiveness.

David, in his book titled: ‘Leadership Beyond Influence’, stated that the mindset has created power-hungry individuals rather than fostering responsive systems and robust institutions.

According to him, it has also fostered manipulative practices.
