Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Ireti Kingibe, has expressed her determination to ensure improved healthcare delivery in Abuja.

Kingibe, who said this while launching a 50-bed hospital in Dobi, a community in Gwagwalada, stressed that upon completion, the hospital would cater to the community’s health needs.

According to her, building the hospital became a necessity because residents of Dobi have lacked a first-rate facility for decades.

“By God’s grace within the next few months, you will get the hospital,” she said.

Kingibe also reminded the community of the possibility of having a new Nigeria and urged them to be more active by contributing their own quota towards national development.

“If we all join hands, both the people and their leaders, we can make Nigeria new,.” She said.

Meanwhile, an indigene of the community, Dr Angulu Danlami, lamented what he described as the largest community around without a good hospital.

He commended the Senator for her kind gesture, noting that it was a development that would benefit them for ages.

Recalling how they  travel all the way to Gwagwalada, a journey of no fewer than 25 kilometres for treatment, Danlami expressed optimism that with a hospital now in Dobi, their healthcare, especially child delivery, would be promptly addressed.
