People Talk: On effects of rationing electricity

Power Distribution Companies are now implementing supply rationing due to a significant power deficit in Nigeria, reaching almost 16,000 megawatts despite granting generation licenses to 40 Generation Companies (GenCos). 

Recent data from the Independent System Operator as of on February 18, 2024, indicates that only 16 of the country’s power plants are contributing 3,530.33 Mega Watts to the grid.
