A chieftain of All Progressives Congress APC in Ondo State, Otunba Yomi Akingbade, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for making genuine efforts to solving the problems he inherited from past administrations.
He also called on Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in finding lasting solutions to the present ugly situation of insecurity , hardship and inflation being experienced across the country.
Akingbade, a Chicago based Agriculturalist in an electronic mail on Friday, noted that the shortage of farm produce resulting to inflation on food items can be attributed to the incessant herdsmen and farmers clash and banditry in the Northern part of the country.
“ The Governors, particularly the Northern Governors should construct roads to farms to enable farmers have smooth access to evacuate their crops and produce. The Northern lawmakers, stakeholders and traditional rulers must find a permanent solution to herders and farmers crisis including stopping banditry in the region.
According to him, “ Even though President Tinubu inherited these problems from past administrations, however, we should know that Nigeria is the only country we have and therefore, irrespective of religion and political parties, let us support the President by any means to have a better Nigeria”
“ As Nigerians, whatever we do collectively or individually, let us be patriotic to our only country. Our actions should not be a hindrance or by anyway sabotaging the efforts of the Federal Government, it is the country and Nigerians that will suffer”
The businessman cum politician also charged Governors of the 36 States to genuinely compliment the efforts of President Tinubu by ensuring that State resources are adequately and prudently utilized for the benefits of citizens in their respective states.
“ With the Governors working with President Tinubu and Nigerians being patient and supportive, I believe we would come out strong from the present ugly situations. It is nobody’s fault, it is a situation we eventually found ourselves, let us join hands together to make our country great again”
