POSITIONS/LOCATION
Three broad positions are available to be filled in our LAGOS Head Office
- HEAD, BRAND MANAGEMENT/CSR & SPONSORSHIPS
- Reporting to the Group Head, Corporate Communications, he/she is to ensure conformity and consistency in all marketing communication and identity manifestation which will be a reflection of the corporate persona
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working with approved advertising Agency(ies), ensure that the company’s advertising generates top of mind awareness.
- Ensure that all branches and locations depict approved symbols and signs that comply with the image and corporate identity.
- Ensure that all company identity documents and items are in conformity with brand standards and that the standard logo is homogeneously used at all times nation-wide
- Select approved service providers and maintain the quality of print images of the company’s corporate identity
- Select service providers (Outdoor) and maintain quality of the outdoor materials.
- Standardization of Company Brand Identity manifestation for print materials, 2D and 3D applications
- Concept Development / Designing for below the line Advert materials: Annual Reports, Calendars, Brochures, Cards, etc.
- Responsible for prompt and efficient production of all brand communication materials as required
- Develop the company’s social responsibility policies, framework and activity plan in conjunction with the Group Head
- Receive and evaluate external requests in respect of donations, and fund appeal and advise management on appropriate action steps
- Liaise with Key Community Stakeholders at all CSR project locations
- Advocate support and partnership from various levels of authority in the public sector (Federal, state and local government)
- Receive and review proposals with respect to sponsorships programs.
- Manage the company’s participation in sponsored programs.
- HEAD, MEDIA RELATIONS/INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
Reporting to the Group Head, Corporate Communications, the ideal candidate will be responsible for activities to develop and implement media/external relations strategies and manage the interface with the media
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish beneficial contact with media houses in support of the company’s corporate goals and objectives
- Review draft articles, conference papers, speeches prepared for publication, press briefings, conferences and other related events
- Ensure the adequacy of media coverage at the company’s internal and external activities
- Ensure that Executive Management team timeously receive daily media summaries of relevant company and industry developments
- Proactively engage the media to avoid negative publicity.
- Participate in conflict resolution process to appropriately project the company’s corporate image
- Ensure the availability of up-to-date information (i.e. the note of a databank) of information from newspapers, magazines, articles that may be of importance to the company
- Ensure the prompt circulation of information from Head Office, to all staff via the intranet/portal
- Liaise with units/groups to understand information requirement and give advice on effective presentation.
- Ensure minimal communication gap/lag between Management and all staff on new standards, policies, procedures etc.
- To edit/produce and plan house journal: Develop content and ensure effective and timely publication.
- Monitor staff trends and attitude towards management and make recommendations to Group Head on programs to endear staff to management and vice versa.
- Ensure that published content does not violate copyright laws
- Write copy for house magazine, staff intranet, email communication, social media handles, and other internal and external communication platforms.
- Devise and implement internal communication campaigns that support the company’s key objectives.
- HEAD, DIGITAL MARKETING
Reporting to the Group Head, Corporate Communications, the candidate has responsibility to use digital marketing channels and activities – creative design; content creation and management; marketing automation; customer and campaign analytics; web, search, email, social, and mobile marketing – to extend the brand and products’ reach
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Upload information on the websites and social media platforms on a regular basis.
- Monitor and review periodic postings of information, events, corporate relations, social responsibility projects on the web site
- Ensure presentation of a consistent visual image on company’s websites, and social media platforms, by promoting uniform fonts, formatting icons, images, layout techniques, and modularization.
- Monitor website, and social media traffic and present weekly statistical report to the Group Head.
- Promote proper use of HTML language and stay abreast of developing HTML standards.
- Carry out scheduled update for existing content.
- Constantly review the functionality/appropriateness of the web sites to internet users.
- Ensure that published content does not violate copyright laws
- Collaborate with Brand Management staff on design and layout issues to facilitate web publishing.
- Establish pointers from other relevant sites and WWW search sites
- Promote the company’s websites to appropriate internal and external audiences.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATES
Candidates must possess good Honours degree from a recognized university in social sciences, Arts, Humanities, or other relevant fields. Candidates must have cumulative experience of more than 8 years’ experience in similar or related capacity, with demonstrable track record of credible performance.
Candidates should have the drive to work independently on a wide range of their department’s issues.
Head, Brand Management/CSR & Sponsorships – Relevant experience working for a Marketing Communications Agency or large corporate would be an added advantage
Head, Media Relations/Internal Communications – Candidate should be exceptionally strong in oral and written communication. Relevant experience working in the media and/or PR Consultancy; or experience in a similar role in structured organisations, would be an added advantage.
Head, Digital marketing – Relevant experience working for a digital or IT firm; a marketing communications firm; or a structured organization; and familiarity with a variety of web application packages and Google certification would be an advantage
