WaBiaZo Fest ’24 to unveil rare display of African cultures

Over thirty thousand African culture enthusiasts from around the globe will converge in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom to experience the thrills of the continent’s colorful traditional music, dance, art, and cuisines in August this year.

Tagged as WaBiaZo Fest, Ceeyah Limited, the organizers of the event say it is a festival aimed at celebrating the diversity and richness of African culture, bringing people together in a unique way.

The organizer’s Media Interface, Bolaji Bello, stated, “This festival is expected to attract 30,000 attendees from all walks of life from 23rd to 25th August 2024 at East Park, Wolverhampton and promises a showcase of talent and African pride, a platform for up-and-coming artists, musicians, and performers.”

Bellow added, “WaBiaZo Fest promises to be an unforgettable experience, where guests can immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of ogene music, highlife and fuji music, as well as flavors of Africa.

“Attendees can look forward to renowned Afrobeats artists, British and Bollywood music artists, cultural performances, traditional dance troupes, masquerade parades, art exhibitions, and a range of delicious African cuisines, like jollof, suya, moi moi, egusi soup, akara, and much more.”

Through this festival, Ceeyah is also providing African children in the diaspora a unique opportunity to explore and celebrate their cultural heritage, witnessing the display of traditional dances, music, art, and storytelling for them to better understand and appreciate their roots.

“There will also be dances from Ekombi, Koroso, Bata, and Atilogwu dance troupes with colorful masquerade parades”, they added.
