ABEOKUTA—Ogun State House of Assembly yesterday disclosed that, it has submitted its report on land deals between 2004 and 2011 by the immediate-past administration and has recommended cancellation of all concession given within the period.
The Chairman, House Committee on land matters, Remmy Hassan gave the hint that, the House had submitted the reports on its findings and has also recommended that land policy adopted then should be changed.
Speaking yesterday on a private radio station in Abeokuta, Hassan, said a lot of discoveries were made by the committee and has consequently made some recommendation, which he said , include, total cancellation of concession of Olumo rock, Apoje farms, Gateway Hotels in Abeokuta, Ijebu-Ode and Ota among others.
When asked whether the House has submitted its report to the Independent Corrupt Practices and other offences related Commission, ICPC, for the next action, the Chairman of the committee said, the decision lies on the executive.
It will be recalled that, the House had set up the committee to look into the acquisition, revocation and other land deals by Daniel’s administration with a review to redressing some alleged anormalies done by the past administration.
