Residents of Governor’s road, Igando Peace Estate Phase (IV), in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, have urged the General Manager of Ikeja Electric to find a solution to the area’s power outage.

In a letter addressed to the GM, they expressed their displeasure over the inconsistent power supply, noting that there has been power failure in the area for over three weeks.

The letter titled: ‘Complaint on Persistent Power Outage in Our Area,’ stated that the complaint was vital because efforts to address the situation was unproductive.

They stated: “We write to express our grave displeasure over the persistent power outage we have been experiencing in Igando Peace Estate Phase (IV) for about three weeks now and appeal for your intervention.

“We are law-abiding citizens and dedicated customers who do not default on our obligations. Most worrisome is the fact that our area attracts huge revenue to your organisation compared to other areas within Lagos. Our area borders Ikotun, Governor’s Road and Isheri-Igando Expressway.

“This complaint became necessary as several efforts made within the CDA to address the concern appeared unfruitful. Second, a lot of the residents are never at home despite paying huge electricity bills.

“This period happens to be the only time everyone has to be with family and friends but unfortunately was encumbered by power outage.”
