Late former Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu

THE Otota of Olomu Kingdom and President General, Government College Ughelli Old Boys Association World Wide, Olorogun Albert Akpomudje SAN has described the death of the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu SAN as a great loss to the family, Ondo State, the Nigerian Bar and the country.
Akpomudje, a distinguished Senior Advocate and Life Bencher in a statement yesterday said the late Governor was a fearless lawyer who made an indelible mark in the sand of times.
He said that Aketi was a man who worked tirelessly for the good of the common man.
The Otota of Olomu Kingdom specifically noted the role Akeredolu played in setting up of the South West security outfit code named “Amotekun” when the region was facing uncommon security challenges.
According to Akpomudje, “The Late Senior Advocate did not only excelled as a Lawyer by becoming a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), but, also led the profession as its National President.
“He joined politics and also became a two term Governor who laid a marker for others to emulate.” He added.
Akpomudje noted that though the death of a loved one may be very painful, he charged the immediate family and NBA to be proud of the legacies of the departed Governor.
He said Akeredolu has gone to rest, and charged everyone to stand and support the family.
