Former Enyimba head coach, Okey Emordi has declared his intention to coach Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, if he was offered the job.
Emordi and Enyimba parted ways last month, after the side came close to winning the Federation Cup and the CAF Champions League last season.

Emordi sent his application letter to the Ibadan club earlier on, but later withdrew it because of family concerns. But during a chat with Sports Vanguard from his Aba base, Emordi stated that he is now open to joining Shooting Stars.
According to him, “Yes, I was to go to Shooting Stars but due to some family issues I had . But if they still want me I won’t hesitate.
He continued: “For now, all the clubs are occupied, so I have to wait still I get a coaching job in or outside Nigeria.
“I do not have any other profession to go to, but to continue in the coaching job. There is nothing else I would enjoy more than coaching, because it is very interesting especially, having people from different families under your care and grooming them. I thinking is very interesting not minding the challenges in the job,” he concluded.
