UGHELLI—THE member representing Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu in the House of Representatives, Chief Austin Ogbaburhon has been dragged before a Delta State High Court sitting at Udu, for allegedly trespassing on a parcel of land, belonging to one Madam Grace Fere and her son, Mr. Stanley Ammon.
The plaintiffs are asking the court to restrain Chief Ogbaburhon and Mr Fred Orukpe from further trespass on the said land.
Ogbaburhon, according to the plaintiffs, had earlier made payment in relation to the land, but later wrote through his counsel, demanding for the refund of the part payment of N1million he made.
According to them, the sum was returned to Ogbaburhon through his counsel, via a cheque, while they took possession of the said land, which was later rented to tenants.
The plaintiffs added that after Chief Ogbaburhon, won election to represent Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu federal constituency in the House of Representatives, he used his office to forcefully enter the land with armed men, to build on it, not withstanding that his (Ogbaburhon’s) money had been refunded.
