The newly appointed deputy governor of Gombe State, Mr. Tha’anda Jason Rubainu, yesterday took his oath of office.

The ritual which held at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House, Gombe was conducted by the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Heman Hakila.The appointment of Mr. Rubainu as the second helmsman of the State became necessary due to the death of the former deputy governor, Mr. David Miyims Albashi who died early last month consequent upon injuries he sustained from a ghastly motor accident on Gombe-Yola road in August this year.

The State House of Assembly had on Wednesday screened and confirmed the nomination of the Mr. Rubainu by the Governor of the State, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo.
