The Minister of Youths Development, Bolaji Abdullahi has been directed to take over the sport ministry as minister of sport and chairman of sport commission in an acting capacity.

This was made known during the Federal Executive Council in Abuja.

Adullahi’s appointment followed the resignation of the former minister sport Yusuf Suleiman, who had already indicated interest to participate in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Sokoto State.

Abdullahi is to oversee sport activities in the country pending the appointment of the substantive minister.
