FEDERAL Capital Territory, FCT, Minister, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has approved the promotion of 3,997 staff of the FCT Administration after the last promotion examination, conducted by the Ministry.

The breakdown of the promotion shows that 2,728 senior staff and 1,269 junior staff were promoted in various Mandate Secretariats, Departments and Agencies.

Meanwhile, the Minister has also approved the conversion and upgrading as well as advancement of some staff of the FCT Administration.

Those on conversion and upgrading include 67 senior staff, 26 junior staff; while 16 staff were for advancement.

Senator Mohammed said the approval of the promotion was in recognition of their hard work, dedication to duty and loyalty.

He said that the “Transformation Agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan as well as the Road Map of his administration recognise and reward hard work and selfless service to the nation.”

The Minister called for renewed commitment and vigour in service delivery to the residents of the FCT and the entire country; insisting that this would serve as motivation and spur the beneficiaries to greater height.

He added that to “whom much is given, much is expected”; stressing that in a couple of days, he expects to see this gesture translated into improved productivity.
