Cerezo handler eyes NWL crown

Technical Adviser of Cerezo Queens, Charles Duku has stated that he wants to win the Female league title and the Federation Cup at the end of the new season.

Duku, a former player, expressed confidence in the team repeating Leventis United’s feat of 1986 after gaining promotion.

“As the technical adviser of the team, my aim is to win the league and the Federation Cup next season. I want to follow the footsteps of Leventis United in 1986 when they won the league just after gaining promotion from the lower league.

“It is a combination of hard work and commitment from both the chairman of the club and the players themselves, by the special grace of God we are going to take the entire nation by surprise when the new season commences,” Duku said.

“I want to thank the chairman of the club, Augustus Ikenwa for his knowledge of the game as a player and a as manager. Also, Silverbird for their support, not forgetting the entire coaching crew and players,” Duku added.
