FG urged to severe diplomatic ties with countries sponsoring terrorists against Nigeria

OWERRI—The Diocese of Egbu Anglican Communion has called on the Federal Government to severe  diplomatic ties with countries found to be involved in training of terrorists currently holding the nation to ransom.

It also made case for the isolation of countries whose nationals had been implicated in terrorists acts against Nigeria, while equally condemning all acts capable of undermining the peace and stability of the country.

These formed part of a 12-point communiqué issued at the end of their synod held at Emmanuel Anglican Church, Umuewere, Ngor Okpala local government area of Imo State.

While totally condemning all acts of threat to the peace and progress of Nigeria, the delegates equally reiterated that the peace of the country should be the concern of every well meaning and truly patriotic citizen.

Commending Governor Rochas Okorocha for introducing free education from primary to secondary level, the delegates also appealed to the governor to ensure proper planning of the programme to avoid making it an object of ridicule.

It urged government to approve the provision of grants-in-aid to the schools handed over to their missionary owners.
