The African Women in Leadership Organisation, AWLO, is set to celebrate exceptional leaders of African descent and their contributions to the growth of African American communities in the United States of America and the African continent as a whole.

This, according to Dr. Elisha Attai, Founder/President, AWLO, will form the centre of the organisation’s Pan African American Leadership Award, PAALA 2023, coming up October 21st in Atlanta, USA.

“Aimed at preserving Pan Africanism ideal, the award is in alignment with resolutions of Pan African congresses for the benefit of black heritage,” Attai told Vanguard.

PAALA 2023, he further disclosed, received over 350 nominations from Africa and the diaspora.

“A total of 20 names however made it to the final list of winners. This year’s award has Senator Donzella James of the Georgia State Senate as the Chairperson, with several other distinguished speakers from across the globe.

“With more than a decade-long history of impact behind, AWLO remains a powerful force to reckon with where the advancement of the African woman’s leadership development is concerned,” he said.
