PRESIDENT of Neimeth Pharmaceuticals, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, has called on Abia State Government to ensure it played politics of inclusion by recognizing and engaging Abia’s brightest and best.

Mazi Ohuabunwa, said this at a forum in Lagos organised by Abia indigenes resident in the state under the auspices of Abia Think Tank Association.

He said: “The state government must possess the political sagacity to play the politics of inclusion recognizing and engaging Abia’s brightest and best, phenomenal and astonishing talents.

Hence, the perception of the developmental trajectory for Abia State by the political leadership should be in improving the living standard of Abians to engender economic well-being and prosperity.”

He pointed out that “the leadership must serve as a template to galvanize energies and resources to champion a result-oriented development paradigm in Abia State as envisioned in the Vision 20:2020.”

In addition, he said, “the place of functional institutions in the whole process of socio-economic and political transformation of Abia State cannot be over-emphasized. Functional institutions are the levers that drive laudable governmental policies beyond individuals who originated them and entrench a system which can deepen such endearing policies for the overall good of the people.”

Meanwhile, Governor Orji said that Abia state was enjoined Abians to contribute to the development of the state.

While reeling out his administration’s achievements, he said “new things are happening in Abia State, Abians are united. You are all witnesses when people were criticizing Abia until God gave us power to say enough is enough. I know the problem of Abia and we have started tackling them.

While acknowledging infrastructures as one of the major issue in his state “he said “we are making appreciable progress, roads are been rehabilitated and new ones are being constructed. I have taken health care as a priority; state of the art health care facilities have been built. So far, we have built 210 health centers across all the communities in the state.”

The Abia governor who explained his administration’s resolve to revive the moribund industries called on people of the state to participate in the development and revamping of the state’s industrial sector.

His words: “We have created opportunities for employment in the state, we do not have crises, and the kind of political system we want to operate is the one that is devoid of imposition, we are now running a true democracy, we are ruining a transparent government.”
