Ekiti promises automatic jobs for physically challeged

ADO-EKITI— Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has promised  to offer automatic employment to people living with disabilities in the state, just as the state government has sent a bill to the House of Assembly for the provision of free wheelchairs, walking aid and other appliances  to the people with disabilities.

Fayemi spoke yesterday during the  launching of the third phase of the Disability Support Project of  the MTN Foundation

The governor disclosed that a bill has already been sent to the state House of Assembly for the distribution of free wheelchairs ,tricycles and hearing aids to  the people living with disabilities.

The governor asked the people living with disabilities not to see their condition as a predicament to attain greatness, saying disability was not synonymous with inability

Speaking earlier, the Director MTN Foundation, Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi noted that over a billion people live with one form of disability or the other.
