Steven Gerrard is looking forward to welcoming former teammate Jordan Henderson to Al-Ettifaq.

The Saudi Arabian club, now under the managerial project of Gerrard, has offered the Liverpool midfielder a salary of £700,000, an amount that will quadruple Henderson’s salary at Liverpool, Mail Sport reports.

The 33-year-old still has two years on his £190,000-per-week contract and Liverpool are expected to discuss his future with coach Jurgen Klopp later this week.

Whether the English midfielder will resist the temptation or approach the exit door remains to be seen.
