Jigawa expends N20bn on social amenities

Dutse — Jigawa State Government has awarded contracts worth over N20 billion for the provision of social amenities in the last six months, the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Ahmad Mahmoud, has said.

On the request by the emir for the provision of grazing lands for cattle herdsmen in the state, Mahmoud said the government had awarded contracts for drilling 50 wind mills for N535 million with one each at 50 grazing reserves, adding that each wind mill costs N9.5 million.
