OWERRI—Imo State governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has dismissed the decision of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state to challenge his election at the election petitions tribunal, saying it was no big deal.
He also donated a Toyota Hiace bus to members of the Correspondents Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Imo State Council.
The governor said: “It is no big deal that Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, approached the election tribunal to challenge my emergence as governor.
“For PDP to go to the election tribunal to challenge my election is no big deal. Government House is a temporary residence and any occupant ought to know that he will one day vacate the place.”
Governor Okorocha, who spoke when he played host to members of Imo State chapter of Correspondents Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists at Government House, Owerri, urged Imo people to remain calm, peaceful and law abiding.
