Chairman, Oko Polytechnic chapter of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP,  Dr. Onyeka Uwakwe, has urged the newly elected president of the union,  Mr. Chibuzor Asomugha, to keep his campaign promises.

Speaking at the swearing-in of the new executive in Ibadan, Dr. Uwakwe commended delegates for attending the 2011 national delegates conference and thanked them for the solidarity shown the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, and the entire Zone D of ASUP.

The new ASUP President, Asomugha, in an interview with Vanguard,  said he believed the contribution of each ASUP member, when positively harnessed, would propel the union to greater heights.
