CAR President visits Obasanjo

ABEOKUTA-Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has stressed the need for African countries to collaborate and pool resources to tackle the myriad of socio-economic challenges facing the continent.

Chief Obasanjo spoke at a private dinner in honour of the President of the Central African Republic, C A R, Mr. Francois Bozizi, who paid him a visit at Ota farm, in Ogun state, weekend .

He urged African leaders to learn from one another to avoid the mistakes of the past and promised to contribute his quota to the development of Africa continent.

Speaking at the event which had the state governor Ibikunle Amosun and members of his cabinet in attendance, President Bozizi, described Nigeria as a great country in Africa, noting that no other country could succeed without strengthening relationship with Nigeria.

While stating that his visit to Nigeria was to seek President Jonathan’s help to woo Nigerian investors to his country, he said, “ I told President Goodluck Jonathan that, I want Nigerian investors in my country, because, my country today is a virgin country. God blessed us there.

“We have mine, we have Diamond, we have everything. I told President Jonathan to let Nigerian investors come to my country, because, I prefer Africa to come to my country , work in my country, take the opportunity in my country, invest in my country and gain. I told President Jonathan and he promised me that, I will see Nigerian investors in my country.”
