Kebbi state governor, Senator Atiku Bagudu has assured the new corps member deployed to the state for orientation and one-year compulsory youth service of adequate security throughout their service year in Kebbi.
Bagudu who was represented by Jega local government chairman Alhaji Murtala Habib at the inauguration and oath-taking ceremony at Dakin gari permanent orientation camp stated Kebbi has already known a peaceful state and such remain therefore the new corps members should rest assured that they are secured at the camp and beyond.
He added that massive security deployments have been made at the camp for the safety of all deployed corps members for a hitch-free orientation exercise in the state.
Jega explained that the Kebbi state government has been responsible for the welfare of corps members therefore the governor will sustain the tempo.
Earlier, the state coordinator of Kebbi State National youth service corps NYSC, Mr Okolo Agatha Banki thanked the governor for his enormous contributions to the corps particularly corps welfare and their security in the host state.
Bandi however, appeal to the Kebbi state government to complete hostels at the camp because the population of corps members turning up for orientation is increasing and to as well build more staff quarters, for the corps members she urged them to live by the rules and regulations of the corps and to integrate into the society as is part of the primary function of youth service.
