Former International, Dominic Iorfa revealed his dislike for former teammates who are clamouring to coach the national teams with no requisite experience.

Iorfa who made 21 appearances for the Eagles between 1987 and 1990 argued that it was wrong for ex Eagles players to push themselves forward to coach the national team when in fact they have no proven coaching experience.

He said that the former players need to take up coaching with local clubs and prove themselves before coming to the national level.

“I want to advise that Eagles job should not be an all comers affair.

“If someone like me who played for the country, is administering and coaching in the local league actively is not talking of coaching the Eagles, I wonder why other people without the necessary credentials are parading themselves to coach Eagles,” said Iorfa who is chairman of Lobi Stars.

After Samson Siasia’s exit the chance emerged for ex-internationals notably, Stephen Keshi, Sunday Oliseh and Daniel Amokachi to have the job handed to them.

However, of the trio only Keshi, can boost of the required experience of coaching the national team having worked with Shuaibu Amodu in 2002 to qualify Nigeria for the world cup. He also qualified lowly Togo for the 2006 World Cup.
