Ogboru vs Uduaghan: Tribunal set to deliver judgment

By Austin Ogwuda
Asaba—Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Asaba, Delta State, is likely to deliver judgment in the petition by governorship candidate of Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, Chief Great Ogboru, challenging the election of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

This followed the conclusion of argument, Wednesday, at the tribunal with the adoption of written addresses by parties.

If the tribunal complies with the Electoral Act, judgment must be delivered not later than November 14, to ensure that time did not elapse.

Justice Unwana, who recently replaced Justice Ayo Abisoye, told counsel parties at the conclusion of the case, yesterday, that the date of the judgment would be communicated to them.

The tribunal sat daily, most times extending into the night.
