Sapele — Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Olusola Obada, has called on Nigerian Navy to do its best to protect all Exclusive Economic Zone, EEC, in the country’s waters.

The Minister made the call, Tuesday, when she paid a fact-finding and assessment visit to the headquarters and logistic command base of the Nigerian Navy, Oghara, near Sapele, Delta State.

She commended efforts of the Flight Officer Commanding, GOC, Rear Admiral Austin Oyagha, Commander of Oghara Naval Command, and his men for a job well done in bringing various developmental projects to Oghara community and for making sure the command was upgraded to a standard comparable to what obtains in developed countries.

She assured the command of continuous government assistance.

Earlier, Rear Admiral Oyagha intimated the Minister of the developmental progress report of the Oghara Naval Command. Oyagha also harped on the challenges the command was facing in terms of logistics, man power and funds.
