Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Mr. Emmanuel Jime, has said the committee was commi-tted to the speedy passage of the bill for an act to establish the FCT Board of Internal Revenue and other bills on the FCT pending at the National Assembly.

Jime said this at a mee-ting between members of the committee and FCT Administration team led by the Minister, Senator Bala  Mohammed.

In a statement, Mr. Nosike Ogbuenyi, Special Assistant, Media, to the Minister, other bills pending at the National Assembly included those for acts to provide for the establishment of FCT College of Education, Zuba; Imposition and Administration of Property Tax in the FCT; Establish-ment of a Service Commi-ssion for the FCT; FCT Hospital Management Board.

Other are: Establishment of Abuja University of Technology, Abaji; Establishment of Abuja Metropolitan Manage-ment Council; Establish-ment of the Agency for Mass Education; Esta-blishment of the Educa-tion Resource Centre; and Establishment of Abuja Geographic Information Systems Agency, among others.
