A member of the Local Organizing Committee, (LOC) Bashir Mohammed said arrangement has been concluded for the flag off of the tour of five west Africa countries, that is scheduled to begin in Lagos via Cotonou, Lome, Accra and end in Abidjan.

“Letters have been distributed to the Nigerian Customs, Immigrations and Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC to assist us make the flag off a smooth one. We have also met with the agencies to solicit their assistance for the race. Since all the 15 west African countries are taking part in the tour, we need the Customs and Immigration to make their arrival easy at the boarder post,” he said.

Mohammed, who is also the national cycling coach, revealed that a meeting will be held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso capital, by the LOC in November where the modalities for the tour will be discussed.
