Ms. Laura Nduoyo when the going was good.
BY Chioma Obinna
Life is not all about how many properties and wealth an individual has acquired. For many Christian and Muslim faithfuls, life is measured by the number of faces an individual is able to put smiles on.
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will He pay him again According to a biblical quotation; (Prov 19:17). Who is he that will loan to God a beautiful loan, which God will double unto his credit and multiply many times? (Q2:224)
Are you that one the Bible and the Quoran are talking about? Can you count the number of faces, on which you have put smiles? Another opportunity has come for you to display your faith in God as well as put a smile on the face one of the millions of Nigerians battling with life threatening illnesses.
Ms. Laura Nduoyo, a brilliant journalist who ventured into public relations and advertising, is in dire need of your urgent assistance.
Laura is down with what doctors at the General Hospital, Wuse, Abuja confirmed to be acute gastroenteritis. In the view of her doctor, Laura’s condition has degenerated into chronic partial intestinal obstruction. She suffers terrible pains.
As it is now, Laura urgently needs corrective surgery abroad. Except she gets aid urgently, the dream of this promising young Nigerian are at stake. The great expectations of this journalist to excel in advertising career may be doomed. The saving grace is the sum of N5 million required for the life-saving surgery abroad. The urgency of this surgery cannot be over-emphasised.
Laura developed episodes of pains, breathlessness on exertion, after undergoing an initial surgery at a private hospital in Lagos. Following evaluation and diagnosis with acute gastroenteritis resulting in chronic partial intestinal obstruction with terrible pains, life has taken a turn for the worse for her, her family and friends.
After undergoing two surgery sessions without success, Laura’s family has exhausted every kobo they have and can no longer afford the required treatment cost. According to Laura, unless there is divine intervention, she may not live to tell her story. “Please don’t let me die. I am urgently in need of corrective surgery, please help now.”
Laura is now appealing to the FCT Minister, wife of the President, Dame Patience Goodluck Jonathan, corporate organisations and other well-meaning Nigerians to come to her aid.
