I won’t take pay cut – Siasia

Troubled Super Eagles’ head coach, Samson Siasia has declared that he is not ready to accept a pay cut. Siasia currently earns N5 million per month as Nigeria manager.

Following the failure of the Super Eagles to qualify for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nation there have been talks of slashing his monthly pay by at least 50 per cent.

The 44-year-old coach defended that his wage should not been linked with Nigeria’s failure to reach the Afcon in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.

“Why would I take a pay cut?” Siasia queried. “The pay hasn’t got anything to do with what happened.” The Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is expected to meet this week to decide the future of Siasia as Super Eagles’ head coach.
